👋 Welcome to Fractured Atlas’s Risk Management Toolkit! We understand that it isn’t easy to look around at our current moment and see things like national funding for the arts being cut, artists losing opportunities for speaking out against genocide, and progressive groups and organizations being targeted. Although the arts and artistic freedom may be facing an uphill battle right now, we believe that it’s more important than ever for artists and cultural workers to continue making art and speaking up, and risk management can help ensure that artists and cultural workers are able to continue their work during turbulent times and beyond.

Risk management is the process of identifying potential hazards/risks that may impact an individual’s, group’s, or organization’s ability to do their work, especially during turbulent times. It takes a look ahead at what could happen and what can be done beforehand to prevent those risks as much as possible, make a game plan in case any of those risks do occur, and ensure the health of your organization and/or artistic practice.
